Last Sunday, Honours College students joined the “Walk for a Million 2016” organized by the Macao Daily News Readers Charity Fund. The students have been in support of this charitable activity for several years.
The College has been awarded both the “Enthusiasm Prize – Participation (Student Organization)” and “Enthusiasm Prize – Donation (Student Organization)” this year by University of Macau for their efforts in donating the largest amount (MOP1920) among student organization and rallying the highest participation percentage in the university.
With passionate enthusiasm and a benevolent mind, the students gathered at the Macau Cultural Centre at 11:30 in the morning. The students regarded this as a good opportunity for them to get some time off from academic work and appreciate the humanity among Macau citizens. The walking was permeated with a joyful and light-hearted atmosphere throughout.
Attracting extensive attention from the public, this activity aims at propagating the message of “all for one, and one for all”, with everyone in the community acting for the common good. The students were all contented and honoured to be able to play a part in this meaningful activity.
